New Orleans Auction Galleries
As a Marketing and Communications intern at New Orleans Auction Galleries, I dove headfirst into the world of high-end art and antiques while picking up some unexpected skills along the way, like constructing giant astroturf props for a $30K photoshoot. I conducted research on fine art trends, tracked media coverage, and explored how to make the auction house more TikTok-friendly. After analyzing competitor strategies and market trends, I pitched a TikTok plan aimed at boosting brand engagement. The TikTok strategy I pitched is now set for future implementation and will help increase brand engagement. Social media engagement increased by 30%, and the July auction became the most successful of the year. My role allowed me to blend research with creative ideas, while also giving me hands-on experience in set design and creative production, all while helping elevate NOAG’s presence in the digital age.
This shot from the July Auction catalog features the giant astroturf pillows I created, along with the 10-foot hedges I helped sew alongside the creative team over three days.
These are two videos from a series I created as part of a social strategy positioning NOAG as an approachable auction house. By embracing a more natural, behind-the-scenes feel, I highlighted standout pieces in a way that was both engaging and true to the brand.
These shots from the July Auction catalogue feature the hedge wall I helped design and the wide hedges I worked on. When the wall fell during the shoot, the other creative assistant and I quickly restored it to keep things on track.
